I’m a big fan of Speedy Ortiz front lady Sadie Dupuis. Besides making good music, she’s an overall inspiring artist and feminist. Her latest project is a solo music project Sad13. In any case, this video is well worth your time on many fronts. Also, an interview with Sadie. And here she picks some of her favorite music on bandcamp.

Really Big Pinecone – Everybody Needs Friends
Sticking with Babe City Records for a moment, here is some Really Big Pinecone.
Taiwan Housing Project – Maintenance of an Application
Taiwan Housing Project is one of my favorite bands to come out with material in recent years. Just really damned good and interesting music. It makes me wake up every time I hear. Stop what i’m doing. And listen. Seriously, buy this 7″
Arianna’s Tyger – Here Comes the Fall
Another one I came across via those recommendation engines. This time on soundcloud. Love this.
Bad Moves – Shitty Tomorrow
Going through some recent bandcamp e-mails this morning. This tune form Bad Moves came in via Don Giovanni. Seems to fit in. Hopefully though tomorrow isn’t so shitty.
Other Body – Imperial Cloud
I posted that Surfer Blood track yesterday and left it playing. Soundcloud doing what it does started playing this track from Other Body. Holy crap this is good. Their new album ‘Total Bust’ just came out this week.
Pile – ???
Perhaps by publication time i’ll figure out the name of this song. It’s a newish song from Pile off of a tape they put out last year. I don’t have the tape and the video doesn’t list the song title. But it’s a good tune and a fine video. Enjoy!

Courtney Barnett – Elevator Operator
I missed this but Courtney Barnett released another video last month. A good track of course, but a fun video as well.
Vague – Fade
Ok, we did our drunk radio shower thing last week, and Vague is one of the bands we discovered from the reaches of Indonesia. This band is quite good. Enjoy!
Freschard – Friends
I really like this band. Discovered them for myself earlier this year but they have a new album coming out in September. This first song hits all the right emotional and musical tones. It’s delightful. Good reflective Sunday listening.
